Texas Bowl
A celebration of the culture, heritage and football tradition of the Lone Star State.
The Texas Bowl is a proprietary event for LSSE and in only its 2nd year has helped put the city of Houston back on the map in the collegiate bowl community.
LSSE has hosted two back-to-back record-breaking bowl crowds in Reliant Stadium (52,210 and 62,097) which has helped generate nearly $50mm in economic impact for the community.
The Texas Bowl has also donated $120,000 to DePelchin Children’s Center, the national charity partner of the bowl.
Texas Bowl Matchups
In 2006, the Cinderella story of college football, Rutgers University won the first ever Texas Bowl trophy as they defeated Kansas State.
In 2007, the TCU Horned Frogs beat University of Houston in an exciting Texas match-up. The Texas Bowl is affiliated with top-notch conferences including the Big 12, Big East, Conference USA and Mountain West.
